This compilation CD was thrust into my sweaty palm in a pub in Blackpool.
It's a relentless 34-track snapshot of the UK underground punk, hardcore, and horror rock scene that delivers a pure, unvarnished dose of DIY noise. Packing in a furious double-dosage from the likes of Pizzatramp, Rash Decision, The Ramonas, Cockwobble, and Sick Pig - alongside appearances from veterans like Disorder, Screaming Dead, and Picture Frame Seduction - it trades polished production values for raw velocity, snarky humour, and political vitriol. Clocking in with tracks that range from 24-second thrash blasts to eerie goth-punk anthems, it functions less as a polite sampler and more as an aggressive, essential document of the DIY circuit taking a sledgehammer to the post-pandemic landscape.
